It’s important to know what industry application you are thinking of integrating Opto22 and Telvents OASyS DNA SCADA System.
You will need to find out what standard comms protocols are allowed for the version of OASyS you have installed. Many are specific industry related and not all versions of OASyS allow open communications to third party hardware. You do not want to present having to upgrade/change the SCADA system just to talk to Opto22 hardware!
One you know this, Opto22 can help you present a “preferred protocol” and the “best-fit” hardware solution to match. I am confident that Opto22 have these available for Telvent integration.
Opto22 have hundreds of RTU applications as examples working worldwide with different SCADA and management software, but this will probably not convince your supervisor or anyone else. In order to convince them, you will have to show Opto22 RTU hardware connected to your SCADA system and working. I am sure if you have a business case Opto22 can help you with the technical details and demo hardware.
One final advice. I do not think you will get much direct help from Telnet in proving DNA/OPTO22 connectivity. At the end of the day Opto22 will be considered a competitive product and something that Telvent do not “control”.
Telvents origins are the Spanish companies Abengoa and Sainco. Optomation Systems in Spain could be a good contact for you.
Sopranos. Wasn’t that some show about girl singers on HBO, for people who didn’t understand SATC??
Telvent has sold to Gas Natural, although for this project GN preferred to connect Opto22 controllers directly to web portal servers over GPRS links. (How to do remote monitoring once you have got fed up of SCADAs) One day all remote monitoring will be done this way!
Here’s a couple of links from Telvent who advertise the use of Opto22 on some large gas projects. As with most large suppliers the end customers are really secret. I would suggest you get Opto22 to contact their sales network in Texas and in Canada as the most likely source of references for you.

P.S. What's a PC? I’m using a ZX80 in our nuclear power station!
