Not to take anything away from the G70, but we have recently used this small 7” Touchscreen Panel Mounted Display on a project, successfully running PACDisplay software under its Windows® XP embedded Operating System. There were a couple of features that didn’t work, due to the way that PACDisplay expects certain files to be in set directories under XP, but generally it passed the test.
By limiting your window size to 800x480 in PACDisplay, a complete integrated PACProject can be developed. Besides a nice sharp display, its good points include inbuilt sound speaker and Wireless Lan connection, two features that are surprisingly missing on competitive products and often needed on remote projects. A keyboard/mouse can be connected during development can then be removed to provide a pretty secure operator environment.
