Opto Browser Configurator doesn't work

CEC 12-15-2003, 6:31 AM
I was able to create a tag database file with ioManager and get it downloaded to my SNAP ENET D64 unit. I am now trying to set up OptoOPCServer using the Browser Configurator. As soon as I open the .otg file, the Browser Configurator brings up an error message: "Could not start object - Opto22.EthernetIoBrowserItems.1" Any ideas? -Steve

This was after installing the software "Opto22 SNAP Ethernet I/O Software R5.0a" (2003-10-09) downloaded from the web site. Apparently, the installation for that revision was not correct. I contacted Opto support directly, and they asked me to uninstall the Ethernet I/O software and install the Ultimate I/O software suite instead. After I did this it worked beautifully! So, it's working using "Opto22 SNAP Ultimate I/O Software R5.0a" (2003-11-26) from the web site. Thanks to Opto support! -Steve
