7th Level Advanced Email experience
B3000-ENET brains include a mail client, allowing simple email messages to be sent to any valid user through an SMTP server. This may be on the same network, or configured to remotely access an Internet ISP, using a dial out connection over the PPP link. Email data can include any real time data being collected or monitoried by the brain. Emails are configured from Event Messages and may include plug-ins from anywhere in the memory map. The text of a resolved event message cannot exceed 127chr. Including resolved event messages can squeeze 255chrs into the emails body, but that’s the limit. For many applications that’s more than enough. While the Chinese proverb says “Give a man a rod, and teach him to fish”, using the B3000-ENETs email facilities, usually leads to the fisherman asking for dynamite to blow up the lake! The imaginable possibilities of email go far beyond the preconfigured functionality of the B3000-ENET. Just some of the requirements, we have had to solve in the last year. 1. Auto generated XML attachments 2. Auto generated include files 3. Mailing Lists 4. Including CC copies, (does anyone remember that cc stands for carbon copy?) 5. Including BCC copies 6. SPAM jammer MessageID requirements These (and other challenges) have been solved by using ioScripting as part of UltimateIO, interacting with the services provides by the configurable memorymap functionality. With help from Opto22, we have developed ioControl5.0 chart import cfx files, that can be added to your ioControl project, adding and configuring the above functionality. Documentation in English and Spanish is included. Contact Optomation at [admin@Optomation.es] for more details.
