ioControl crashes after reconfiguring toolbar

I found this problem last week. After a few wild misses and just when I was about to give up, I've solved it out.

Symptoms: After years of happy use of ioControl, suddenly ioControl crashes some seconds right after being started. A typical system window informs me that the application has made an invalid operation and must be closed. This happens even before the initial splash screen is shown. Reinstalling ioProject does not help.

Solution: locate the file iocontrol.pro.ini (I am using ioControl professional) in C:\WINDOWS (the Windows root directory) and delete it.

Possible cause: They day before the crash, I played around with different toolbar layout configurations (Menu->View->Toolbars...). I must have left the ini file corrupted, that was causing the crash.

I hope this helps someone sometime.

I'm not sure it is an ioControl problem.
I've tried hard since your reply to reproduce it but I haven't managed a way. Is not as simple as "playing around" with the toolbar layout. There must be something else.
As soon as I get a clue for the support team I will let them know, by now I have nothing tangible for them.

btw: thanks for changing the title of my post, it makes more sense now!
