History File Problems
I know very little about OPTO, but I have been using the automatic text history file generated by OPTO for software needs.

The problem is not all columns are named and I have to use the column numbers. So if a new column is inserted all column numbers after it are affected. This is a real mess.

So, we decided to move to SQL which requires column names. But now instead of getting timestamped rows with all the fields I have to deal with multiple tables.

The problem is these tables are not linked in anyway. The number of rows/records varies. So there is no way to make them match up exactly.

At least with the text file I could depend on the timestamp.

The people working on this are not experts by any means.

Is there a way to get reasonably synchronized (to within a minute) SQL history files/tables?

Thank you for any help.

Dennis

Re: History File Problems
Are you using PAC Project Basic or PAC Project Professional? Could you explain a bit more about how you were obtaining the historical files?
