Optober Training

The training group at Opto 22 turned October into Optober by hosting two training class at the Temecula headquarters. Both classes were full of a mixture of new and experienced users, proving yet again that Opto 22 offers training and support to new and experienced customers the same.

The first class started October 8th. The customers in attendance were Jamie H., Wolfgang L., and Brad B. from City of Portland, Les L. from Classic Salads, Sam K. from Dolphin International, Prashant D. from EPS, John B. from Holly Corporation, Oney U. from Maricopa Water District, Aarin M. from Technical Systems Inc., and Jeffrey T. from Mulder-Hardenberg. Jeffrey is a new member of Mulder-Hardenberg, Opto 22's distributor in the Netherlands.

A few of the interesting applications that members in this class worked on came from Dolphin International, Classic Salads, and EPS. Dolphin International uses Opto 22 to monitor aquariums during the transport of exotic fish. Classic Salads is currently upgrading their energy management program to PAC systems in order to make energy use improvements (an application close to my own heart). Following the same lines, EPS will be using Opto 22 for an energy solution implementation for one of their customers.

Training Class 10252007

The second training class of October was smokin'! Okay, that's because they were out here when nearby San Diego was on fire and the smoke covered the Temecula valley. But fire or not, they were a fast class. In attendance was Tim B. from Kraftmaid, Casey C. from Kingston Technology, Thomas R. from ERC, John E. and Gary K. from White-Rodgers, Corey S. from Cerrowire, Nate J. from Junge Control Inc., David L. from Allesco, and Manuel R.

Some of the applications that are already using Opto 22 products are Cerrowire.  They manufacture copper electrical building wire and cable and use Opto 22 to automate portions of their process. Junge uses our equipment to automate fertilizer and chemical plants and plan on using it for an unattended fueling station. One of the new applications in the class was Allesco who is a new OptoPartner.

Thanks. Have a great day.
