Website Features continued...
In my last post, I explained the favorites star icon that appears at the top
right of each product details page and when you click on it, that product will be added to your favorites list. Similarly, to the left of
the favorites star icon, there is an Opto "O" icon which allows you to add products to your subscriptions list.
The subscriptions section of the website is accessible through your my.opto22 account. After you login and navigate to your account you will see a OptoSubscriptions button on the left navigation panel. (More info about logging in is in my previous post.)
There are a couple different subscription options. First, you can subscribe to OptoNews which is sent out every other week with technical tips plus product and training news. This is a great way to stay up-to-date on new information and events at Opto. I highly recommend you sign up for this! (

Second, we have an OptoKnowledgeBase Articles
subscription, that will email you all the new KB articles complied into one email, no
more than once a day based on when updates are released. Third, you can
sign up to receive emails on Download and Document updates which are sent
in the same way as the KB articles.
Lastly, as I mentioned in the
beginning, you can navigate to any product and select the Opto "O" icon and add
that product to your subscription list and you will receive email updates about that
specific product. All of these options allow you to really customize your
Opto experience. Instead of having to continually check the website for
updates, you can simply subscribe to the products or product areas that you are
interested and emails will keep you up-to-date.
If you do not have a my.opto22 account, be sure to create one! The website can be a very valuable tool for you. All the information you need quickly, can now be easily saved under your profile.

Website Features You Should Check Out
Our newly designed website has been up and running for quite a few months now and I want to be sure that you aren't missing out on some really helpful features that we've added.
As mentioned in the last blog, we now have a "My Favorites" section. In following Amazon's lead, we have given you the ability to add Products, Documents, Downloads, and KB articles to your favorites list.
How do you find this new feature? First, you should login to your my.opto22 account, so that all of your information will be stored under your account name. Don't have one yet? Sign up now. You can locate the login in section by clicking on any tab on the homepage and on the right side of the screen two orange boxes will appear. Click on the "Login" link under the "My.Opto22" box heading.
Second, navigate to any product, document, download, or KB article that you would like to save as a favorite and click the star icon
in the top right corner of the page, located on the same line as the item's title. The star will turn yellow to indicate you have selected it as a favorite. Continue to navigate to other products and select all the items you would like to add to your OptoFavorites.
Then, when you are done, you will still see the two orange boxes on the right side of the page. Click on the "My.Opto22 Profile" and you'll see a link to My OptoFavorites.
Once in the OptoFavorites section, you can select what type of favorites you would like to manage. In the case of Products, you can add them to your cart if you would like to purchase them or you can also create a Bill of Materials (BOM) or get a Quote from a distributor.
I hope this encourages you to take advantage of the OptoFavorites section, it can really be a helpful resource to store all items you view the most, complied into one easily accessible area.
I'll be blogging about more new features soon. If you have questions....email me!
