News Aggregators

To start receiving RSS Blogs from Opto 22, you'll need a news aggregator (also called a newsreader, or a feed reader). As its name suggests, a news aggregator pulls together (or aggregates) all the RSS feeds that you subscribe to into one place. The news aggregator lists these RSS feeds so you can easily read or print them, and also monitors the RSS feeds so any new information appears automatically.

There is a growing number of news aggregators available. While they all perform the same basic functions of gathering and monitoring RSS feeds, some aggregators are software applications or plug-ins that work with email clients or web browsers. Other news aggregators are actually websites that keep track of the RSS feeds you subscribe to.

You can choose from many aggregators. Here are a few widely used examples:
