Subscribing to Opto 22 Blogs

You can subscribe to an Opto 22 Blog in several ways. We'll describe four popular methods:

• Google Reader
• My Yahoo
• Firefox
• Internet Explorer

Google Reader

1. Look for the Google Reader icon on the blog you wish to subscribe to and click the icon.
2. Google Reader will appear in a browser window. Choose whether to add the blog to your Google homepage or to Google Reader. In this example, we'll select Add to Google Reader.
   
3. Either log in to your account or create a new account.
   
4. When you have logged in, Google will direct you to your Google Reader home page. Your subscription will appear below the "Add subscription" title.
   

My Yahoo

1. Click the My Yahoo icon in the top right corner of the blog page or blog index page.
2. When the following page appears, click the Add To My Yahoo! button.
   
3. On the My Yahoo home page, click Please sign in.
   
4. If you don’t already have an account, click Sign up and follow the prompts. If you do have a My Yahoo account, enter your ID and password and sign in.
   
5. Once you have signed in to your My Yahoo account, you will see the blog added to your page as shown below.
   

Firefox

1. Look for the RSS icon in the navigation bar on the blog page you wish to subscribe to.
   
2. Click the icon. You will then see this screen.
   
3. Click Subscribe Now and Firefox will open the Add Live Bookmark pop-up window. Choose a Name and select where you would like your blog to be placed in the "Create in" section. Then click OK.
   
4. You will be able to locate your Opto 22 blog by going to Bookmarks, located at the top of your browser. Your blog will reside in the folder you selected. In this example, the OptoBlog appears under "Bookmarks Toolbar Folder."
   

Internet Explorer

1. Look for the RSS icon below your navigation bar and click it.
   
2. You will see the following screen. Click the Subscribe to this Feed button, and a new window will appear.
   
3. Select the name and location for your feed and click Subscribe.
   
4. To access the feed, click the yellow star icon in the top left corner of your browser.
   
5. Your blogs will appear under the Feeds section when you click on the yellow star.
