Thinking about wireless for your remote monitoring, industrial automation, or data acquisition application? Wireless makes perfect sense when you need to manage remote devices or machines that are hard to connect with Ethernet wiring.
Opto 22 Wired+Wireless SNAP PAC programmable automation controllers make it easier to try wirelessand succeed.
Like a laptop computer, these SNAP PACs can communicate both over a wired network and wirelessly. Since each PAC has two wired Ethernet network interfaces plus one wireless LAN interface, you can use wired and wireless connections at the same time.
Compatible with 802.11a, b, and g wireless LAN standards, SNAP PACs give you the flexibility to use a different frequency if you experience interference from other wireless devices.
Security standards include WPA2-AES plus the older WPA and WEP for backwards compatibility.
ALL SNAP I/O analog, digital, and serial modules can be used either wired or wirelessly, so you have all the input signals you need. Mounting racks, power supplies, and accessories are also the same for either wired or wireless use.
No extra components are needed to use Wired+Wireless PACs and I/O on your wireless LAN.
In addition, Wired+Wireless PACs are programmed using the same PAC Project software as our other SNAP PACs.
Bottom line: You can switch from wired to wireless or back again without changing programming, reconfiguring I/O, or changing field wiring.
