Leap year 2008 affects dates recorded by PAC Display and ioDisplay SuperTrends

Applies To:

PAC Display Professional
PAC Display Basic
ioDisplay Professional
ioDisplay Basic

Versions Affected:

Problem was discovered in version: R8.1f PAC Display
Problem is fixed in version: R8.1g PAC Display

Resolved In Version:

Problem is fixed in version: R8.1g PAC Display

Symptoms:

PAC Display and ioDisplay projects with SuperTrend historic log files may show incorrect dates for data when transitioning from 2007 to 2008 due to the 2008 leap year.

The symptoms may involve one or more of the following:

  • SuperTrend historic log files show dates that are 6 days ahead of the correct date.
  • One or more pens in the log file may be affected.
  • The SuperTrend graphic may show dates that are 6 days ahead of the current date.
  • Historic trends may show a flat line for data with one or more pens for a period of 6 days. This means the same point data is repeated for 6 days.

Workaround:

The workaround for this problem is to close and restart Runtime. This begins logging the correct date and time for the data. However, log files that are already written are not changed.

Resolution:

Opto 22 has resolved this issue.
