FTP server creates 0 KB length file and does not return error

Versions Affected:

Problem was discovered in version: R8.1a

Symptoms:

If there is insufficient room to store a file on a brain acting as an FTP server, then a file with a length of 0 KB is created on the server and no error is reported. Further attempts to create or append additional files result in errors, as expected.

For example, suppose the FTP client device is a control engine with a strategy that includes an FTP communication handle. When the strategy attempts to write data to a file on a remote brain (whose file area is full), no error is returned by the communication handle command. A typical command for writing to a remote FTP server would be Send Communication Handle Command with options like “send:” or “appe:”.

The correct behavior should be for an error to be returned by the brain's FTP server and no file be created.
