SNMP v2 traps may cause a management system crash

Symptoms:

Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) management systems such as Computer Associates' Unicenter®, Hewlett-Packard's OpenView®, or IBM's Tivoli®, may be used to manage SNAP Ethernet systems. SNMP v2 traps are sent with an invalid data type format and can cause a management system to crash.

Resolution:

Opto 22 has resolved this issue. Note: This fix applies to all notifications, not just cold start traps.
