Runtime may randomly crash if it is run on a dual-core processor computer, or a single-core processor computer that permits hyper-threading.
OptoDisplay and ioDisplay were developed prior to the development of dual-core computers and are not designed to work on them. PAC Display R8.0a through R8.1a may also randomly crash. Do not run the affected Runtime versions on dual-core processor or hyper-threading computers. Disable hyper-threading if your computer supports it.
To determine if you have a computer with a dual-core processor, run the CPU-Z utility from http://www.cpuid.com/. Download it from here.
Run OptoDisplay or ioDisplay on a single-core computer. Upgrade PAC Display to R8.2a if you are running your application on a computer with a dual-core processor, or on a computer that supports hyper-threading.
Opto 22 has included multi-threaded support for PAC Display. Beginning with version R8.2a, PAC Display is supported on dual-core computers, or computers that permit hyper-threading.
