SYMPTOMS

When attempting to install FactoryFloor, a message reports an earlier version is installed, but it actually is not.

WORKAROUND

Registry keys for a prior FactoryFloor installation need to be removed from the registry with Regedit.

  1. Run Regedit (Start→Run, type in "Regedit"), and navigate to:

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall


  2. Click on each key with the following format:

    {00000000-0000-0000-0000-000000000000}

    Look for FactoryFloor information to the right of the Registry Editor window. Delete the associated GUID folder on the left side of the Registry Editor window.


  3. Also search the ..\InstallShield Uninstall Information folder for FactoryFloor keys in the same manner as in the prior step. Delete the associated GUID folder on the left side of the Registry Editor window.


  4. You should now be able to install FactoryFloor R4.1a.
