Expanded digital events on I/O unit may not work as expected when configured from a PAC Manager .otg file
Revision:  2.0
Published:  12/17/2008
Applies To
PAC Manager
Versions
Problem was introduced in version:
R8.1a
Problem is fixed in version:
R8.2a

SYMPTOMS

Expanded digital events may not operate as expected when an I/O unit is configured from a PAC Manager .otg file. The following image demonstrates where in PAC Manager the expanded digital events are configured.

Expanded digital events configured from the Inspect window in PAC Manager (Tools→Inspect), or which have the configuration downloaded directly from PAC Manager (Tools→Send Configuration to I/O Unit) operate correctly.

CAUSE

Digital events were expanded to allow digital data to be triggered based on additional events besides Digital Point State. The trigger-based events added were Digital Point On-Latch, Digital Point Off-Latch, High Density Digital State, High Density Digital On-Latch, and High Density Digital Off-Latch. If a digital event was based on any of the added trigger options, PAC Manager did not save the configured information to the configuration file (.otg).

RESOLUTION

Opto 22 has corrected this issue.
