SNAP PAC devices added in R8.2 PAC Manager are not available in R8.5a

Symptoms:

The Device Name list in PAC Manager R8.5 (from the Tools/Inspect window) does not list all expected devices. If PAC Project R8.5000 is installed on a computer which also has version R8.0, R8.1, or R8.2, then SNAP PAC devices that were added with the last version of PAC Manager, are not listed in PAC Manager R8.5a after installing PAC Project R8.5000.

Workaround:

Close PAC Manager. Then copy the DeviceNames.ini file from the last directory where PAC Project was installed, and paste it into the R8.5a installation directory.

For example, if PAC Project R8.2 was the last installation of PAC Project, the files would typically be installed in:

Copy DeviceNames.ini FROM here:

C:\Program Files\Opto22\PAC Project 8.2\

Paste DeviceNames.ini TO here:

C:\Program Files\Opto22\PAC Project 8.5\
