New input ranges for SNAP-AIPM-3 and SNAP-AIPM-3V
Revision:  1.0
Published:  5/9/2011
Applies To
SNAP-AIPM-3
SNAP-AIPM-3V
Versions
New range available beginning:
April 2011

DESCRIPTION

The input ranges for three-phase power modules, SNAP-AIPM-3 and SNAP-AIPM-3V, have been changed. Modules with the newer ranges can be distinguished from older modules by the specs that are printed on the module, and by the connector latches on the newer modules. Older modules had the same connectors, but without the latches.

The following input range changes were made:

SNAP-AIPM-3 module:

  • Voltage input changed from 0-250 to 0-300 V
  • Current input changed from 0-10 A to 0-5 A

SNAP-AIPM-3V module:

  • Voltage input changed from 0-250 to 0-300 V

Starting with version R9.1a, PAC Control includes both input ranges so that the appropriate input scaling range can be assigned to the module. Refer to the SNAP Power Monitoring Modules Data Sheet for scaling examples. Newer modules also require brain firmware version R9.1b or newer.

Older SNAP-AIPM-3 and SNAP-AIPM-3V modules can be exchanged for newer models. Contact Opto 22 Product Support for information or answers to any questions about the change.
