Digital Events-Expanded triggers continuously without trigger being set

Applies To:

SNAP-PAC-R1
SNAP-PAC-R2
SNAP-PAC-R1-W
SNAP-PAC-R2-W
SNAP-PAC-EB1
SNAP-PAC-EB2
SNAP-PAC-EB1-W
SNAP-PAC-EB2-W

Versions Affected:

Problem was discovered in version: R8.5e

Symptoms:

There may be intermittent behavior from Digital Events - Expanded as described in the following example.

Example:

In Digital Events - Expanded, Event #0:

  • Use which data for trigger #1? is set to Scratch Pad Bits
  • ON Mask for Trigger #1  is set to scratch pad bit 1
  • Reaction Occurs is set to Once
  • Use which data for reaction #1? is set to Digital Point State
  • OFF mask for Reaction #1 is set to turn off digital point 1

When the above configuration is stored using the Apply button, digital point 1 turns off, even though the Event's scratch pad bit 1 has a value of 0. It should only trigger the reaction if the scratch pad bit is set to 1. Subsequent attempts to turn on digital point 1 do not work indicating that the event is continually being triggered and the reaction is continually occurring.
