Cannot load or re-load a license file after initial setup

Problem was discovered in version: groov App R1.0c


Symptoms:

A license file cannot be loaded or updated on groov App.

For groov Server, the first license file uploaded to the server succeeds. All subsequent attempts to update that license file fail with the following error shown at the bottom of the License Management dialog box: "Insufficient permissions to perform the requested action. Please contact your organization's groov Administrator to verify your account status."

For groov Box, any attempt to update the license file will fail.


Workaround:

For groov Server, manually copy the license file to the groov Server installation folder and name it groovApp.license.

For groov Box, first try restoring groov to the default settings. If this does not fix the problem, please contact Opto 22 product support.


Resolution:

Opto 22 has resolved this issue and will include the fix in an upcoming release.
