Versions Affected:

Problem affects versions: Firmware R8.1a and higher
Problem is fixed in version: PAC Firmware R9.4c

Resolved In Version:

Problem is fixed in version: PAC Firmware R9.4c

Symptoms:

In the OptoMMP memory map, when you use the Digital Point Write Area (0xF0900000) to turn a module on and off, any write will have an effect, not just non-zero writes. This means that a write of 0x00000000 to the Turn On area of a point will cause the point to turn on, and the same for a write to the Turn Off area. This behavior contradicts documentation in the OptoMMP Protocol Guide (form 1465, page 150).

This issue may affect you if you are using a custom OptoMMP program or a PAC Manager Generic Read/Write to these areas of the memory map.

Workaround:

Don't write 0x00000000 to Turn On/Off areas.

Resolution:

Opto 22 has resolved this issue.
