Unable to step out of a subroutine when debugging in PAC Control

Symptoms:

In PAC Control's debugger, when using the step feature inside a subroutine, you may have trouble stepping out of the subroutine because the buttons are grayed out.

Workaround:

Click on the subroutine itself, somewhere outside the blocks. Buttons should become usable (no longer gray).
Step out of the subroutine.
Close the chart. When asked if you want to clear breakpoints, answer No. When asked if you want to take the chart out of step mode, answer No.
Reopen the chart that called the subroutine.

Resolution:
