PAC Control error -139 when opening strategy from a previous version

Symptoms:

In PAC Control R10.4a, when you open an older strategy that has a variable with a description longer than 127 characters, PAC Control displays the message "Invalid length for Variable description. Must be 1 to 127 characters. Code -139".

Prior to R10.4b, PAC Control did not prevent you from entering a description longer than 127 characters in the Add Variable dialog.

Workaround:

Open the strategy in an older version of PAC Control and edit any variable descriptions that are more than 127 characters. Save the strategy, then it can be opened in PAC Control R10.4a.

Resolution:

Opto 22 has resolved this issue.
