Applies To:

Versions Affected:

Versions affected: R9.5a through R9.6b
Problem is fixed in version: R9.6e

Resolved In Version:

Problem is fixed in version: R9.6e

Symptoms:

When an OptoDataLink project is sending data to a control engine, if the PC running the project is rebooted, sometimes OptoDataLink stops sending the data.

When this happens, OptoDataLink Monitor displays the error icon (two red vertical bars over a link image). If you right-click the error icon and then select View Errors, a "0x80070057" error message is displayed in the OptoDataLink Errors log.

Workaround:

  1. Restart the project in OptoDataLink Configurator. If OptoDataLink Configurator is already running, close it, restart it, and then reopen the project.
  2. Click the Stop All Links button. (From the menu, click Run > Stop all links).
  3. To restart the flow of data, click the Save and Start All Links button. (From the menu, click Run > Start all links).

Resolution:

Opto 22 has resolved this issue.
