groov App sometimes incorrectly reports that the project was created in a newer version

Versions Affected:

All groov Admin versions through 1.570.48

Symptoms:

Sometimes when groov fails to start a project, it displays a message saying the project was created in a newer version of groov (which is not true).

The error message reads:

This groov project was created in a newer version of groov than the one you have. Your version of groov cannot support the new features in this project. You can either update your groov or use an older project.

To update your groov Go to manage.groov.com and get groov version null or newer. Use groov Admin to install the new version. Reload the groov page in your browser. To use an older project Retrieve an earlier version of your project built with this or an older version of groov. Use groov Admin to load the older project For more help, see the groov Box User's Guide.

Workaround:

Backup your groov project.
Restore factory defaults.
Update to the current versions of groov Admin and groov App (because restoring to factory defaults will take the Box back to the versions of Admin and App when the Box was new).
Restore your groov project.

Resolution:

Opto 22 has resolved this issue and will include the fix in an upcoming release.
