OptoDataLink stops processing links; error log shows "Error in link... Reason 0x800706BA"

Symptoms:

OptoDataLink sometimes stops processing links. When this happens, the error log displays one or more messages that include the words, "Error in link" (followed by the link name) and "Reason 0x800706BA."

Workaround:

Use OptoDataLink Monitor to stop the links. (For details, see the OptoDataLink User's Guide, form 1705).
In Windows Task Manager, stop the OptoOPCServer (32 bit) process (OptoOPC.exe).
Use OptoDataLink Monitor to restart the links.

Resolution:

Opto 22 has resolved this issue.
