SYMPTOMS

ioDisplay may become unresponsive after importing a corrupt 3dSymbol graphic from Symbol Factory.

To verify the problem, from ioDisplay Configurator go to Edit→Paste from File→Built in symbols. Browse to ioDisplayProSupportFiles, 3dSymbol, and select Tocpidfp.smb. A message appears stating: ‘Symbol File is from a previous version of ioDisplay or OptoDisplay.. Save to File to update.’ After clicking ‘OK’, ioDisplay becomes unresponsive, and ioDisplay must be terminated.

WORKAROUND

Do not use the Tocpidftp.smb graphic in affected versions. The corrupt graphic was removed from the 3dSymbol subfolder until the issue was resolved.

RESOLUTION

Opto 22 has resolved this issue.
