Unexpected ‘Ramp Analog Output’ PAC Control/ioControl command response if ramp endpoints are out of range

Applies To:

SNAP-PAC-R1 Controller Firmware
SNAP-PAC-EB1 Brain Firmware
SNAP-UP1-ADS Controller/Brain Firmware
SNAP-UP1-M64

Versions Affected:

Problem was discovered in version: R8.0b SNAP PAC firmware, R7.1h Ultimate I/O firmware
Problem is fixed in version: R8.0c SNAP PAC firmware, R7.2d Ultimate I/O firmware

Resolved In Version:

Problem is fixed in version: R8.0c SNAP PAC firmware, R7.2d Ultimate I/O firmware

Symptoms:

For the PAC Control Ramp Analog Output command, if the ramp’s endpoints are set outside the range of the analog output module, then the analog output does not function correctly. The next Move command to the output causes the output to ramp to the position of the prior Ramp Analog Output command.

As an example, the problem may occur if the ramp endpoint for a 4 – 20 mA output point is set to 0 mA, or if the ramp endpoint for a 0 – 10 VDC output point is set to 12 VDC.

Resolution:
