PAC Manager's Analog Bank feature reads the lower 4 points of high density analog modules
Revision:  2.0

DESCRIPTION

The Analog Bank button (Tools→Inspect, Analog Bank) only reports readings for the lower 4 points of a high density analog module. Because this feature is designed for analog modules with up to 4 points, only points 0 through 3 are displayed for a high density analog module, such as a SNAP-AITM-8, installed in position 0 of a rack.

WORKAROUND

The following are suggested workarounds for this issue:

  • Use the Generic Read/Write option (Tools→Inspect, Other→Generic Read/Write) to read high density analog module points. This area in memory begins at address F100 1000 for a module plugged into position 0 of the rack. For more information, refer to form 1465, "OptoMMP Protocol Guide", Appendix A: Opto 22 Ethernet-based Hardware Memory Map, Analog EU or Digital Counter Packed Data—Read.
  • Use the Analog Point button (Tools→Inspect, Analog Point button) to read each point on the module.
