Moving around in flowcharts is a lot easier in PAC Control 9.0. The new version of Opto 22's control development software adds shortcuts for panning and zooming in a chart, centering the chart on a specific block, previewing the contents of a block, and much more. Here are some of the new features.
To move around in a chart, first click inside the chart. Then hold down the spacebar and click again. The cursor turns into a fist, and you can drag the chart around to the position you want.
To zoom to a specific percentage size or make the whole chart fit in the window, choose the size you want from the zoom drop-down in the lower-right corner of the chart window.
And here's the best new feature: a whole raft of shortcuts for moving around. Remember you need to click inside the chart first.
- Center on block zero: Press 0 (zero)
- Center on a specific block: Press J and choose the block from the list
- Fit the whole chart in the window: Press F
- See what's in a block without opening it: Click the block with your mouse's middle button
- Lots more...
See all the shortcuts by clicking the information icon or Shortcuts link in the lower-right corner of the flowchart window:
