IBM Pulse 2010

IO4AB Technical Seminar

Energy management was the focus at IBM Pulse 2010. Hiro Ueda and Takao Miura from our Japanese Partner/Distributor Asahi Electronics Company (AEC) and Arun Sinha and Benson Hougland from Opto 22 demonstrated energy management using the SNAP PAC System with IBM® Maximo. Maximo is the asset management software portion of IBM's Tivoli® Suite.

It's easy to add energy management to your existing SNAP PAC System and share data with other vendors' systems. Learn more about energy management with SNAP PAC.

IO4AB Technical Seminars 2009

IO4AB Technical Seminar

In early 2009, many more automation engineers learned how intelligent remote SNAP I/O can extend an Allen-Bradley Logix-based PLC system with no programming. These popular technical seminars were held in several locations in the U.S.

If you missed the seminar in your area, you can still find out about SNAP I/O for Allen-Bradley (IO4AB). Contact your local distributor or Opto 22 to arrange a WebEx online demo.

Magyar Regula 2009 in Budapest

Magyarregula 2009

Hungary's major Automation Exhibition, Magyar Regula 2009, took place March 24-27, 2009, at the SYMA Exhibition Centre in Budapest.

Peter Bona and his team from our Hungarian distribution partner Com-forth Kft. welcomed attendees and showed the latest developments in Opto 22's successful SNAP PAC System product line.

IO4AB Technical Seminars 2008

IO4AB Technical Seminar

Using Opto 22's SNAP I/O as intelligent, remote I/O in an Allen-Bradley ControlLogix or CompactLogix system is a new way to expand I/O in an A-B PLC system and add process control functions—without additional stress on the controller and without programming.

Our IO4AB Technical Seminars, jointly sponsored by Opto 22 and our local distributors, demonstrated SNAP I/O in an A-B PLC system and answered questions from engineers and technicians in several cities across the United States: Chicago, Detroit, Atlanta, Charlotte, Portland, Houston, Dallas, Buffalo, Strongsville, Andover, and Philadelphia.

More seminars are planned for 2009.

SPC/IPC/DRIVES Electric Automation Exhibition & Conference

SPC Drives Show

Opto 22's Gerhard Kreiling showcased intelligent remote SNAP I/O at the SPC/IPC/DRIVES Automation Exhibition and Conference in Nuremberg, Germany in November 2008.

Ethernet in Automation was one of the key topics at the conference. As part of the ODVA booth, Gerhard spoke with conference attendees about the benefits of using SNAP I/O with EtherNet/IP-based PLC systems, such as Allen-Bradley Logix systems.

Rockwell Automation Fair

In November 2008, Benson Hougland and Arun Sinha from Opto 22 attended Rockwell Automation Fair 2008 in Nashville, Tennessee. The Fair's program included over 50 technical sessions, more than 20 hands-on labs, and 8 focused industry forums.

Benson and Arun talked with fair participants about how Opto 22 distributed, intelligent I/O can extend their Allen-Bradley PLC systems.

EtherNet/IP Free Informational Seminar

In October, industrial Ethernet and how EtherNet/IP can work for you was explained at this free seminar from ODVA (Open DeviceNet Vendors Association). The seminar included classroom sessions and a free buffet lunch.

Opto 22 demonstrated how you can extend your Allen-Bradley Logix system with reliable remote SNAP I/O.

ISA Expo 2008

Focused on the technology and techniques of automation and control, ISA EXPO 2008 in Houston, Texas, was organized around six core central themes. The expo provided attendees opportunities to explore key technologies, discover professional growth, and interact with like-minded professionals.

Opto 22's Arun Sinha presented "Ethernet for Industrial Automation" to an interested audience of engineers and technical users.

American Water Works Association—2008 Educational Extravaganza

Opto 22/PTP booth at AWWA

In August 2008, Opto 22 Distributor Pacific Technical Products (PTP) demonstrated Opto 22 solutions for the drinking water industry at the 2008 Educational Extravaganza, sponsored by the California-Nevada Section of the AWWA (American Water Works Association).
