OBSOLETE Energy Monitoring HMI for OptoEMU Sensor

Production Specification

*** NOTE: This product is Obsolete. ***

The Energy Monitoring HMI (human-machine interface) for OptoEMU Sensor gives you a simple way to see the energy your facility is using, so you can analyze this detailed data and take steps to reduce energy costs.

The Energy Monitoring HMI displays data from one OptoEMU Sensor (any model). The HMI shows data from all pulse inputs and inputs directly wired to electrical panels or equipment. On an OptoEMU Sensor DR, you can also control outputs from the HMI.

Real-time energy data appears as trends on a graph and also as numeric values. The HMI also logs historical data; you can view these logs on a graph and change scaling on the x and y axes as needed.

The HMI can be used as is or adapted to suit your needs. See the Quick Start: Energy Monitoring HMI for OptoEMU Sensor for more information.

The product download includes all the software you need: PAC Display Basic and the HMI project file.

*** NOTE: This product is Obsolete. ***
Requirements:

  • OptoEMU Sensor™ energy monitoring unit, already installed and configured for the meters, electrical panels, or equipment you are monitoring (See the OptoEMU Sensor User’s Guide for installation and configuration steps.)
  • A Microsoft® Windows® computer on the same Ethernet network as the OptoEMU Sensor. Computer requirements:
  • Windows 7 Professional (32-bit or 64-bit), Windows Vista® Business (32-bit), or Windows XP Professional (32-bit, with SP2 or higher).
  • Available hard disk space: 124 MB

Quick Start: Energy Monitoring HMI for OptoEMU Sensor

The Energy Monitoring HMI displays data from one OptoEMU Sensor (any model).

This Quick Start guide shows you how to install and use the Energy Monitoring HMI.

OptoEMU Sensor Communication Guide

OptoEMU Sensor™ Energy Monitoring Units monitor the electrical energy used in your facility and then deliver that data to applications so you can see it, analyze it, and take steps to reduce energy costs.

The OptoEMU Sensor can provide data to web-based or local software services; to control systems based on Opto 22’s PAC Project™ software and Modbus/TCP; to OPC clients; and to standard SQL databases. This Communication Guide shows you how to communicate with the Sensor in all these ways.

NOTE: To install and use the OptoEMU Sensor and see energy data through online software services such as Pulse Energy and eSight, see Form 1932, OptoEMU Sensor User's Guide. If you are using the Sensor only with these online services, you do not need this Communication Guide.

OptoEMU Sensor User's Guide

The OptoEMU Sensor monitors energy usage in your facility so you can track energy data and reduce costs. This document describes how to install and use the OptoEMU Sensor and the optional auxiliary box.

PAC Display User's Guide

This guide shows you how to use PAC Display, part of the PAC Project Software Suite, to create human-machine interfaces (HMIs) for your groov EPIC or SNAP PAC System.

NOTE: If you are using PAC Display with older Opto 22 hardware in addition to groov EPIC and SNAP PAC hardware, use the Legacy Edition of this guide, form #1712.
