CODESYS PROFINET Fieldbus Stops Working After 12.5 Days

CODESYS Development System (IDE) when used with:

GRV-EPIC-PR1
GRV-EPIC-PR2

Versions Affected:

This issue affects CODESYS Development System (IDE), which is used for writing CODESYS programs. Any versions that contain PROFINET versions 4.1.0.0, 4.2.0.0, 4.2.1.0 will have this issue.

Resolved In Version:

CODESYS PROFINET version 4.2.2.0

Symptoms:

The CODESYS PROFINET fieldbus stops after about 12.5 days (or a multiple of that, depending on the bus cycle period).

Resolution:

Do the following:

In the CODESYS Development System, use the CODESYS Installer (Tools > CODESYS Installer) to install PROFINET version 4.2.2.0 or higher.
Re-build and re-download the application to the CODESYS control engine on the GRV-EPIC-PR1 or GRV-EPIC-PR2.
