Customer Success Associate

Founded in 1974, Opto 22 is a developer and manufacturer of hardware and software for applications in industrial automation, discrete manufacturing, process control, remote monitoring, and data acquisition.

We are currently seeking a customer-centric, energetic and highly-motivated individual to join our sales team. The Customer Success Associate (CSA) will be responsible for cultivating and maintaining strong relationships with assigned accounts ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction, leading to brand loyalty and growth opportunities. Additionally, the CSA will prospect and qualify leads resulting from inbound inquires, phone calls and emails. The CSA works closely with our customers alongside Sales Engineers, Applications Engineers and Customer Service.


In this key role you will:

  • Promote Opto 22 to new and existing clients via product, industry and account knowledge
  • Work with customers to ensure they are leveraging Opto 22 effectively and finding value in our products and services
  • Qualify, develop and own new and existing client leads
  • Serve as a client contact point for inquiries, calling on other Opto 22 functions as needed to support effective execution
  • Collaborate with application engineers, field sales engineers and customer service to maximize pipeline opportunities and closure
  • Use a CRM (Customer Relationship Management) tool to help manage contacts and opportunities, collaborate across the team, and drive sales growth
  • Keep abreast of new and existing Opto 22 products, solutions, content, promotions and programs

You are an ideal candidate if you:

  • Build relationships with customers, help them with issues, provide them a proactive strategy based on their needs
  • Are familiar with inbound marketing, content marketing and marketing automation
  • Have experience with a CRM, preferably Hubspot
  • Have experience in content creation such as sales email templates, blog posts or social media
  • Are an expert on social selling and matching relevant content to targeted customers
  • Are a goal-oriented, organized, team player that is self-motivated and self-directed
  • Are able to multitask, prioritize and manage time efficiently


  • Bachelor’s degree in related field, or equivalent experience
  • 1 - 5 years of experience in a customer-facing role, such as Customer Success, Inside Sales, or Marketing
  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills a must.
  • Computer skills including Word, Excel, Power Point, Zoom, Gmail, Google Drive and Google Docs, CRM
  • High energy, passionate, creative thinker
  • U.S. Citizenship or permanent authorization to work in the U.S.
