Signature Projects

  • ACE Opto 22 projects are typically based on the PAC controllers and SNAP I/O. Our offices are interested in groov EPIC and RIO and have participated in Opto 22 presentations.
  • Our Connecticut office did a project at ISP Freetown to replace the brainboard with an Opto 22 PAC controller and has done other PAC Controller and I/O projects.
  • ACE did a Citect SCADA interface to Opto 22 E1 (Digital) E2 (Analog) and SNAP-PAC-EB2 brain boards at Siemens Healthineers in Newark.
  • ACE did a Cryro Tech Job which included a number of 352 panels for a Helium system with Opto 22 to isolate inputs for 352 24vdc inputs.
  • ACE did a project that used the Opto 22 G4 modules for APACS relay MTAs for the Modular Marshalled termination assemblies.

Founded in 1991, Applied Control Engineering, Inc. (ACE) is a privately held company headquartered in Newark, DE with regional offices in Connecticut, Maryland, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, and Texas. From a core background of process control experience in the chemical industry, ACE has grown into providing innovative, cost effective solutions for system integration challenges to a very diverse set of industries including but not limited to Oil & Gas, Pharmaceutical, Chemical, and Power.

Our integration experience spans all levels – machine/process, plant, and enterprise. The majority of our staff are degreed engineering professionals with backgrounds in chemical, electrical, mechanical, instrumentation, computer engineering, and computer sciences. We have hired graduating engineers every year since 1994 – many of whom are still with us and form the core of project management and technical leadership. ACE also attracts highly-experienced, mature engineers who enjoy the interesting work and the opportunity to work with our younger staff. This unique blend of talent means we get it – we know you can’t afford downtime, extended startups, misconfigurations and cost overruns. With over 100 employees in seven locations, we have both the depth and breadth of expertise and experience to provide both in-project and project-to-project continuity.
