When added to a groov EPIC^® processor (GRV-EPIC-PR1 or GRV-EPIC-PR2), or groov RIO MM2 (GRV-R7-MM2001-10) this development license gives you access to all of the following features of Ignition Edge^® IIoT version 8 on your groov device:

• Connect to PLCs and devices through included Ignition Edge OPC UA drivers (AB, Siemens, Omron, and more; nearly unlimited device connections)
• Connect to OPC UA servers with Ignition Edge OPC UA client (unlimited server connections)
• Transmit MQTT Sparkplug B message through the included Ignition Edge MQTT Transmission module
• Allow access to Ignition's OPC UA Server from external sources
• Store 35 days of historical and event logging (alarm, auditing) data in your groov device’s internal storage; allow access to this information from other gateways through Sync Services
• Access the Enterprise Agent Manager (EAM) module to include your groov device to an enterprise managing multiple Ignition gateways

Choose the GROOV-LIC-EDGE8-PANEL development license to get these same features plus the local visualization (Perspective module) option.

NOTES:

• If you are using a groov EPIC processor PR1 (GRV-EPIC-PR1) with Ignition Edge version 7, you must use firmware version 4.0.3 or lower. If you want to upgrade to version 8, follow the instructions in your MyOpto account at manage.groov.com.
• Ignition 8.1 licenses are not compatible with Ignition 8.3. If you already have a GROOV-LIC-EDGE8 installed to run Ignition 8.1 and you want to run Ignition 8.3, please contact our pre-sales engineering team for more information (pre-sales@opto22.com).
• With both groov EPICs and groov RIO MM2s, you can use Ignition and Ignition Edge on a trial basis for two hours at a time, and you can restart the trial as often as you want. Purchasing and installing this license removes the time limit for Ignition Edge. If you want to use full Ignition, you need a different license. Contact us for more information.
• If you are activating a groov hardware product and a license at the same time:
  • For groov EPIC processors, first activate the processor, then activate GROOV-LIC-EDGE8.
  • For groov RIO MM2s, first activate GROOV-LIC-EDGE8 and you will be prompted for the RIO's serial number.  (RIO hardware does not need to be activated.)
