groov EPIC Learning Center

The groov EPIC Learning Center (GRV-EPIC-LC2) is a complete package of fully functional EPIC hardware and software. Opto 22's groov EPIC is the world's first Edge Programmable Industrial Controller (EPIC)—it's much more than your average PLC.

With an embedded Linux^® operating system, independent Ethernet network interfaces, USB and HDMI ports, and an integrated touchscreen, it's well suited for any automation and IIoT applications.

Not only is the groov EPIC Learning Center the principal tool in our onsite Premium Factory Training, it's also designed to work with Opto 22’s free online, self-guided learning modules (available through OptoU Online Training) and the free downloadable project, available on our website.

groov RIO Learning Centers

Like the groov EPIC Learning Center, groov RIO Learning Centers are complete packages of fully functional hardware and software. Opto 22's groov RIO is a compact, yet powerful, remote, multi-signal, universal I/O unit that gives you the flexibility for any kind of application. With two models to choose from, you’re sure to find a groov RIO that works for you.

Both RIO Learning Centers include remote I/O that offers hundreds of thousands of unique, software-configurable I/O combinations in a single PoE-powered industrial package with web-based configuration, control logic with CODESYS, and built-in flow logic software, plus support for multiple OT and IT protocols.

The groov RIO Learning Centers are also designed to work with Opto 22's free online training and downloadable project. Choose between two RIO Learning Centers:

• GRV-RIO-LC—Includes a GRV-R7-MM1001-10

• 1 DIN rail (mount the groov RIO module on the rail)
• 2 illuminated pushbuttons
• 1 potentiometer
• 1 temperature probe connector
• 1 ICTD temperature probe with resistor (for PID loop control)
• 1 single-color backlight LED
