SNAP 2-Ch 4-20 mA Current Loop Analog Output Module

Production Specification

The SNAP-AOA-23 provides two channels of analog current output at a nominal range of 4-20 mA. An external loop power source is required for the current loops. Although the two channels are not isolated from each other, the module is transformer isolated and optically isolated from other modules and devices. The module is factory calibrated.

Part of the SNAP PAC System, the module mounts on a SNAP PAC rack with a SNAP PAC brain or rack-mounted controller. Analog, digital, and serial I/O modules can all be on the same rack. Such an I/O unit is also well suited for PC-based control or for use as intelligent remote I/O for an Allen-Bradley Logix PLC system, such as ControlLogix, MicroLogix, or CompactLogix.

If you need channel-to-channel isolation and loop sourcing, see SNAP-AOA-23-iSRC.

Case Study: AAQUA NV

Antwerp-based AAQUA NV has specialized in engineering and constructing industrial wastewater treatment plants since 1999, with customers all over the world. Where possible, the company also adds value to customer waste, either by recycling wastewater to drinking water quality or by capturing the energy in the water to reduce fuel costs.

Initially AAQUA often worked with a subcontractor to automate treatment, but in 2005 they began offering automation themselves. To do so, the small company needed an automation system that was Ethernet based, flexible, reliable, offered remote access, and was easy to learn.

In this case study, read how they found that system and how they use it today.

Declaration of Conformity (EMC, LVD, RoHS)

This document is the Manufacturer's Declaration of Conformity for the products listed herein, in accordance with European, international, and/or national standards and regulations.
