For underground mines, water control is everything. Trapped water can create real drowning and electrocution hazards for mine personnel, which means the sump pumps used to control water levels are extra critical.

When a gold producer in northern Nevada approached IoT-Certified OptoPartner Surety Automation to upgrade its sump controls, it was going to be a challenge to transform the existing manual, disconnected systems. Surety's goal wasn't just to make the sumps remotely controlled with the typical large and expensive hardware—they wanted to give mine operators the visibility and control over the entire underground health of the mine.

In this case study, find out how Surety Automation was able to take a rudimentary pump upgrade to a fully connected mine application by building smaller, cost-effective, smarter systems that do more with less.
