Strategy Mismatch Download Warning when entering Debug mode in PAC Control related to files downloaded after the strategy

Applies To:

PAC Control Basic
PAC Control Professional

Versions Affected:

R9.0a through R10.5c

Resolved In Version:

R10.6a

Symptoms:

PAC Control compares the current strategy with the strategy on the controller before entering Debug mode. If it detects any changes, the Strategy Mismatch Download Warning dialog displays to alert you of a change in the strategy and asks if you want to download the strategy. To continue to Debug mode, you need to download the strategy to the controller.

You may encounter this warning for any of the following scenarios related to files that download after the strategy (Configure > Control Engines > Download Options > Files To Download After The Strategy):

  • A change is made to the file path of the file(s) downloaded after the strategy. This would most likely occur when a strategy archive is unzipped on another computer.
  • Edits have been made to the “download after” file(s) to add, remove, or modify comments or white space.

Workaround:

Ensure the “download after” file(s) and paths are identical to the file(s) used on the previous download of the strategy.

Resolution:
