PAC Display Runtime displays -1 priority for detailed alarm

Applies To:

PAC Display Basic
PAC Display Professional

Versions Affected:

R9.0a through R9.6g; and Beta version B9.6h, all builds through 0119

Resolved In Version:

R10.0a

Symptoms:

Note: This issue applies only to Detailed Alarms—not to History Alarms.

When looking at a Detailed Alarms window in PAC Display Runtime, you may see an alarm with a Priority of "-1"—even though the alarm was configured with a valid Priority value. This can happen when the alarm point was configured:
  • For a discrete point (Configure > Alarm Points > Add or Modify > Setup tab > Setup By > Discrete)
  • With "Show Warning State" selected (Configure > Alarm Points > Add or Modify > Setup tab > Show Warning State)
  • With a persistence time (Configure > Alarm Points > Add or Modify > Discrete tab > More)

Workaround:

Do not check "Show warning state" when configuring detailed alarms with a persistence time.

Resolution:

Opto 22 has resolved this issue.
