Applies To:

  • PACCONTROLBAS (PAC Control Basic)
  • PACCONTROLPRO (PAC Control Professional)

Versions Affected:

R10.0b to R10.3c

Resolved In Version:

R10.3d

Symptoms:

For the following sequence of events, the IVAL value does not update in the I/O Unit inspecting dialog box:

  1. Configure a PAC Control strategy with the I/O unit setting "Enable communication from control engine" unchecked.
  2. Switch to Debug Mode, download and then start the strategy.
  3. Double-click on the I/O Unit to open the inspecting I/O Unit dialog box.
  4. Double-click on the configured point to open the inspecting point dialog box.
  5. In the point dialog box, change the state of the IVAL and click apply. You will notice that the state will not update in the I/O Unit dialog box.

Workaround:

Edit the I/O Unit to check (enable) the "Enable Communications from control engine" setting before you download the PAC Control strategy.
