Undefined command error during download of strategy with nested subroutine that has space in filename
Applies To:
- PAC Control Basic
- PAC Control Professional
Versions Affected:
R10.2a to R10.4a
Resolved In Version:
R10.4b
Symptoms:
Under the following conditions, PAC Control displays an undefined command error during the strategy download:
- In PAC Control, you create a subroutine with a valid name.
- Outside of PAC Control, you change the name of the subroutine file so that it includes a space.
- In PAC Control, you import the subroutine into a strategy. PAC Control does not report any errors regarding the invalid filename. If you compile the strategy, PAC Control does not report any errors indicating that the subroutine filename is invalid.
- When you download the strategy, PAC Control reports an undefined command error.
Workaround:
Remove references to the subroutine in your strategy, fix the filename, then re-import the subroutine:
- Remove references to the subroutine from the strategy. (If the references in the strategy contain the valid name you plan to use, you can "comment out" references to the subroutine.)
- Use File Explorer to change the file name to a valid file name. (The file name must start with a letter followed by any combination of letters, numbers or underscores. No other characters—including spaces—may be used in the filename.)
- Import the subroutine into the strategy.
- Add the correct references to the subroutine. If you "commented out" the references as describe in step 1, remove the comment delimiters.
