PAC Control CLI operator "/cdf" may generate pop-up window

Applies To:

PAC Control Basic
PAC Control Professional

Versions Affected:

R9.6 to R10.3a

Resolved In Version:

R10.3b

Symptoms:

While using the PAC Control command line interface (CLI) tool with the /cdf operation, if the strategy matches any of the following situations, PAC Control displays a pop-up window:

  • It was previously saved in PAC Control Basic and you use PAC Control Professional CLI.
  • It is currently open in PAC Control Basic or Professional.
  • It contains a control engine configuration with an invalid path to a file to download after the strategy.
  • It contains an invalid path to the strategy's IDB file.
  • It contains outdated watch window paths.
You have to click OK in the pop-up window so that the /cdf operation can continue.

Workaround:

Depending on which situation applies, take corrective action. For example, to clear the outdated watch window file paths from the strategy:

  1. Open the strategy in PAC Control.
  2. Go to Debug mode (Mode > Debug). A pop-up window will appear notifying you that the watch window file cannot be found. Click OK.
  3. In the menu, click Watch.
  4. Under Close there is a list of the paths to the watch window files associated with the strategy. Click each one. If a pop-up window appears saying the watch window file cannot be found, click OK.
  5. Click Config to enter Config mode and save the strategy.
