PID loops configured for Auto mode may start in Manual mode (or vice versa)

Applies To:

Firmware for:

  • GRV-EPIC-PR1
  • SNAP-PAC-S1, SNAP-PAC-S1-FM, SNAP-PAC-S1-W
  • SNAP-PAC-S2, SNAP-PAC-S2-W
  • SNAP-PAC-R1, SNAP-PAC-R1-FM, SNAP-PAC-R1-W, SNAP-PAC-R1-B
  • SNAP-PAC-R2, SNAP-PAC-R2-FM, SNAP-PAC-R2-W
  • SoftPAC
  • SNAP PAC Sim Control Engine Simulator

Versions Affected:

R10.0a - R10.0f for SNAP PAC controllers
All versions for GRV-EPIC-PR1

Resolved In Version:

R10.0h for SNAP PAC controllers

Symptoms:

If a PAC Control strategy has PID loops configured with Mode set to Auto, when you run the strategy, the PID may start in Manual mode (or vice versa). In addition, the Get PID Mode command may return a value other than 0 (Auto) or 1 (Manual); a non-zero value indicates Manual mode.

Workaround:

Modify the PAC Control strategy and add the Set PID Mode command in the Powerup chart to set the desired PID mode.

Resolution:

Opto 22 has resolved this issue and will include the fix in an upcoming release.
