MQTT topics not being published from OptoMMP device

Symptoms:

If you observe either of the following:

MQTT had been publishing tags (in either a Sparkplug or string payload) from the GRV-EPIC-PR1’s I/O channels (when the MQTT Service’s device type is set as OptoMMP) and then stopped.
When you try to find public tags from an OptoMMP device, you can't find any.

Check for the following:

Was the I/O module on the chassis switched from an analog or discrete module to a serial or CAN module? (Switching between analog and discrete does not cause the previously mentioned symptoms.)
Is the control application configuring I/O on an OptoMMP device incorrectly (for example, mapping a channel incorrectly) or writing to a non-existent channel?

Workaround:

Review channel configurations to ensure that they map to appropriate I/O modules installed on the chassis and of the correct type.

Resolution:
