Opto Browser Configurator may not start

Symptoms:

When you try to start the Opto Browser Configurator, if it cannot find the browser database, one or more of the following happens:

It does not start.
It does not start and an error message appears indicating that a path cannot be found.
If you check the Windows Event Viewer, you may see an event indicating that there is an issue with MSVCR120.dll.

Opto Browser Configurator tracks the location of the most recently opened browser database file in the Windows Registry. This issue occurs if the location is not available or not accessible.

Workaround:

Try one of the following:

Restore the path that contains the browser database. This could mean:
- Reconnecting to a network drive.
- Reattaching a removed drive.
- Restoring the name of a drive/path.
Run Regedit command to delete the following key: Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Opto22\Optoopcserver\Browser Database

Resolution:

Opto 22 has resolved this issue.
