groov EPIC processor becomes unresponsive

Symptoms:

You may observe the following behavior with this issue:

No Ethernet communication.
The processor's touch screen does not respond to touches.
The module LEDs are red.
The operating system log (/var/log/syslog) may have a gap larger than 20 minutes.
The operating system log may display MDIO read/write timeouts:

This will be accompanied by a stack dump.

You have to cycle power to the processor to restart it. After the processor restarts, you can review the logs to identify the last two items on the list.

Workaround:

Connect your groov EPIC processor to the network through the ETH1 network interface and leave the ETH0 network interface unplugged.
