SoftPAC deletes local file if file with same name on remote FTP server doesn't exist

Symptoms:

Under the following circumstances, SoftPAC incorrectly deletes the local file:

You open a communication handle to a remote FTP server to retrieve a file with the get command, and
the local file system has a file with the same name as the one you specify in the get command, and
the remote FTP server does not contain the file you specify in the get command.

Workaround:

Try one or more of the following:

Verify that the remote source file exists on the FTP server, such as with the FTP dir command, before attempting to retrieve the file with FTP get command.
Do not perform FTP get if there is an existing local file with the same name.

Resolution:

Opto 22 has resolved this issue.
